Krafton India has officially announced BGMI AIR (previously referred to by the community as BGMI Lite) on the Google Play Store, designed specifically for players with budget smartphones.

Over the years, the main BGMI app has grown to over 3.5 GB on download and over 10 GB with full map packages. This makes the standard game heavy and laggy on phones with 2GB, 3GB, or 4GB RAM.

BGMI AIR solves this by providing a feather-light battle royale experience that runs smoothly without crashing or overheating on entry-level devices.

To make the game run fast on budget phones, Krafton made key optimizations in BGMI AIR:

3. 60-Player Fast Matches: Classic matches have 60 players on 2x2 km maps, offering quick 10-12 minute games with smooth action.

Most budget games lock the default graphic settings to 30 FPS or 40 FPS to avoid overheating. However, many budget phones now feature fast 90Hz screens (like POCO M5, Realme C55, and Moto G34).
